I only wish, I had this information available starting my fitness journey, but I figured things out along the way which increased the time to achieve my results.
So before you begin your fitness journey, sit down and figure out exactly why you are looking to be more active. Is it because you want to feel better, or lose weight, or be able to keep up with your kids on the playground. This is very simple yet so powerful fitness tip. This is the reason that will drive you to work on your fitness journey on the days that you don’t feel like it, but only if your reasoning is strong enough and crafted with emotion!
Setting fitness goals is as important as understanding why. You need to have something to reach for, specific measurable but at the same time realistic fitness goals. These goals will keep you more accountable for your actions. Sure you can go into it without setting the goals, but then… what is the purpose? This would allow you to skip the workout days when you don’t feel like it and over time stop working out all together. Set fitness goals!
Make a plan for the things that could stand in your way of achieving your fitness goals. For example, if you are short on time, where could you fit in a workout? What would you do if the weather was bad and you could not go to the gym? Tired of same routines? What will you do then? Having a plan in place will help you overcome those objectives before they arise!
Are These Fitness Techniques Helpful So Far?
Alright, cool. We are not quite done yet, as perhaps this could be the key for you to stick to your new routine to reach your fitness goals. Whatever you do… Start SLOW! Just understand that the beginning will be hard, you will be sore, you will be questioning why you are doing this, you will want to stop, quit and all together just give up. But don’t, because it is much harder to start over again than it is to keep going. Take my word for it, I have done the same mistake multiple times and every time it comes with a huge regret and a promise that I will never do that again! So there you go, hope this helps!
