Without a doubt, nutrition plays a significant role in achieving your fitness goals. I have tried and failed to out exercise a bad diet in the past.
Today, I wanted to share some insights with you and give you some weight loss dieting tips.
Should You Reward Yourself With One Cheat Day A Week?
It totally depends on your fitness goals and what you are trying to achieve. If you have set high expectations then One Cheat Day Per Week may be too much. However it also depends on how well you have behaved for the other six days. Did you exercise? Did you eat clean? Did you drink plenty of water?
If you have lacked any of above through out the week, the you should probably stick to One Cheat Meal Per Week at best! All you have to do is be honest with yourself- if you worked hard, there is nothing wrong with a reward, but…. if you have been slacking, then you know what you should be doing.
While rewarding yourself with one cheat day a week may not be a bad idea, you should also consider exactly what you are going to do the Day After Cheat Day. I guess what I am trying to say is that getting off track is easy, but getting back on- not so much! For some, it is easier to keep going and one cheat day a week could be a huge distraction in achieving their fitness goals.
What Benefits Could You Possibly Reap From One Cheat Day A Week?
Have you heard about muscle confusion training? Basically it is introducing new routines, new moves that make your muscles function in a different matter and in turn give you better results. In a way once cheat day a week could be similar nutrition confusion to your body and your metabolism. And this is a good thing. Now don’t get me wrong here, you still have to be smart about your cheat day choices and don’t go crazy. Eating junk all day, drinking pop and so on, will NOT help you get the effects possible from one cheat day a week.
The idea is to boost your metabolism which in turn will help you achieve your fitness goals in less time. So to wrap it all up, it totally depends on you and your preferences. Only you will know if the cheat day is deserved or if you should stick to one cheat meal per week.
